India made historical past on Sunday (January 29) as they clinched the inaugural version of Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup final by defeating England in the final.
Chasing a paltry goal of 69, India reached the set whole in 14 overs with 7 wickets in hand.
Earlier, India’s bowling assault, led by quick bowler Titas Sadhu and leg-spinner Parshavi Chopra, dished out a superlative efficiency after electing to area first. Sadhu returned with spectacular figures of 4-0-6-2 whereas Chopra snapped two wickets for 13 runs.
Sadhu was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for her economical spell.
