MIAMI (CBSMiami) – There was loads of water left behind in Broward after Friday’s flood advisory. It was first issued round 2:30 p.m. and prolonged into the night because the rain continued.
While leaving flooded roads and parking tons in locations like Sunrise, the water didn’t cease buyers close to the Sawgrass Mills Mall.

That space noticed about two to 3 inches of rain.
However, the water was not simply inconvenient. In some components, the downpours induced severe injury.
“This was a significant roof collapse, possibly as a result of the storms that we experienced,” stated Captain Ignatius Carroll.

In Miami-Dade, a number of companies have been deemed unsafe after the roof caved in at a strip mall situated at SW twenty second Avenue and SW fifth Street.
“I got a call from the alarm, they advised that it was a problem, and I thought it was a burglary when I first heard it,” stated Elicer Gallardo, who runs a laundromat within the procuring heart. “It wasn’t. It was much worse.”
“As soon I opened the door, the whole water started coming out,” he stated.
Danny Zeldon owns a restaurant there, and says that they had solely been open eight months.

“We said, ‘hey, let’s open a business,’” Zeldon stated. “Now, we’re surprised today that we’re not going to be able to open.”
