This debut function from creator/director Nida Manzoor is a wildly audacious paintings that takes on South Asian tradition and patriarchy whilst admitting that at the back of each and every nice guy, there’s an overly drained mom who’s sacrificed the whole lot… And she will get to come to a decision who her son will marry and why?
The movie is set 16-year-old Ria Khan (Priya Kansara), a British-Pakistani woman who’s hooked in to changing into a stuntwoman like her idol (represented by means of real-life British stuntwoman Eunice Huthart). Nimra Bucha as Salim’s Machiavelli Mom, Raheela, is a hoot as she turns into the evil counter to Ria’s do-gooder effort. Even Ritu Arya as Lena marks her presence with a sedate-to-kick-ass transformation that sits smartly in the episodic, incessantly combusting conflict of beliefs that this movie represents.

There’s a foolish, ridiculous, exaggerated slant to the appearing and the writing – the digicam appears to be transferring demoniacally because the script assaults adolescent fears, the use of Kung-fu film parodies and outlandish schemes, with an intent to make teenage existence look like one thing ‘worth coveting.’
`Polite Society` hits exhausting at the frame and thoughts to attain on depth and leisure. The plot will get even loopier as Manzoor’s satirical tone unearths company floor. The witty humour, Robbie Morrison’s sharp modifying, and feisty no holds barred performances make this movie a full-on entertainer right through!
