Police in Weston investigate evidence of animal abuse after family cat found cut in half


WESTON – A name to police on Saturday has changed into an animal abuse investigation after police mentioned they found evidence of a family cat chopped in half.

The name got here in at round 1:30 p.m., a couple of lacking cat named Misu.

Misu’s homeowners mentioned they found their cat in their neighbor’s yard positioned in the 1500 block of Presidio Drive.

They mentioned their cat got here in and out of their home freely and it was not unusual for it to beoutside by itself.

Police have been supplied a photograph of the cat’s stays.

The incident report mentioned, “The cat appeared to be cut clean through the middle.”

“The cut is not consistent with that of animal bites/attacks and appeared to be intentional. There was no
blood on the cat or in the grass surrounding the cat. The back half of the cat was not present in the photograph.”

The homeowners instructed police that they haven’t had any points with any of their neighbors and haven’t seen any suspicious folks in their neighborhood.

Neighbors mentioned there have been 5 current incidents of this nature inside Savanna neighborhood.

Authorities confirmed that related incidents had been reported in the realm.
