Sept 3 (Reuters) – The pilot of a small airplane who threatened to crash it into a Walmart in Mississippi landed with none accidents, native officers stated on Saturday.
Earlier, the police division in Tupelo, Mississippi, stated they’d been speaking straight to the pilot and had evacuated the Walmart (WMT.N) and a fuel station.
Tupelo Police Chief John Quaka stated the suspect, Cory Wayne Patterson, had been chargeable for fueling plane.
While Patterson appeared to have had some flight instruction, he was not a licensed pilot, Quaka stated at a news convention.
Patterson was in custody and was being charged with grand larceny and making terrorist threats, Quaka stated, including that he anticipated federal fees as effectively.
