Pilot injured in Andrews County, Texas plane crash Saturday


ANDREWS, Texas — The pilot of an plane was injured Saturday morning in an Andrews County crash, in keeping with a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred at 10:38 a.m. on the Andrews County Airport.

DPS stated Derek Grady, 41, of Brainerd, Michigan suffered minor accidents and was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

“Preliminary information revealed the pilot flew from Midland,” DPS stated. “The plane crashed during touch and go landing practice at the airport.”

The climate was clear and dry. The plane was recognized by DPS as a Van’s RV3.
