Phoenix man let 10-year-old son drive pickup truck on freeway, police say

Authorities say a man has been arrested after permitting his 10-year-old son to drive a pickup truck on a Phoenix-area highway

PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after permitting his 10-year-old son to drive a pickup truck on a Phoenix-area highway, government stated Sunday.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officers stated the boy led soldiers on a short lived pursuit Saturday afternoon — weaving and rushing on State Route 101 in Scottsdale — sooner than being pulled over.

DPS stated the kid’s 49-year-old father used to be within the passenger seat. The Phoenix man used to be booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office prison on suspicion of endangerment, unlawfully allowing a minor to drive and having an open container of alcohol within the automobile.

A motorist referred to as 911 round 3:30 p.m. and stated it seemed a kid used to be riding the truck on the highway, consistent with DPS.

A trooper noticed the automobile and attempted to prevent it after seeing the driving force converting lanes unsafely.

DPS officers stated the truck failed to prevent and the trooper pursued it sooner than the kid motive force pulled over in an emergency lane.

According to DPS, the 10-year-old boy isn’t going through any fees.

Sheriff’s officers did not in an instant go back a decision Sunday referring to whether or not the daddy used to be nonetheless jailed or launched on bond.
