Parents arrested after Broward baby found safe following Amber Alert



DAVIE, Fla. – A parents who should not have custody in their 8-month-old daughter have been arrested Wednesday after an Amber Alert used to be issued for her, government showed.

Jail data display Arys Maria Martinez, 34, and Jacob Alexander Howard, 34, have been arrested by way of Davie police.

Martinez faces a rate of kidnapping a minor below 13 whilst committing annoyed abuse and Howard faces fees of interference with custody of a minor and probation violation.

According to police, the baby, Amelia Martinez, used to be dropped off at a daycare heart by way of her grandmother round 11 a.m. Tuesday.

She used to be then picked up round 1:40 p.m. by way of her father, Jacob Howard, and used to be handed off to her mom, Arys Martinez, government stated.

They stated each Arys Martinez and Howard had their parental rights terminated and Amelia is recently in ChildNet’s custody.

Investigators with the FDLE first of all believed Amelia and Arys Martinez have been touring in a white Toyota Camry, heading to Orlando.

Police later showed that Amelia used to be found safe within a house within the space of Northwest 215th Avenue and Eighth Court in Pembroke Pines.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department showed that its SWAT group assisted in retrieving Amelia from the house.

Records display Martinez and Howard have been married on Valentine’s Day in 2022 and feature a historical past of home violence.
