OU football: Sooners climbing up recruiting rankings after latest additions | Sports


Heading into July, there have been some issues about Oklahoma’s recruiting class for 2023.

Those issues are shortly fading away.

The Sooners entered July means behind within the crew recruiting rankings, as 247Sports listed them exterior the highest 30. But after receiving 5 commitments final week, the Sooners have jumped all the best way to No. 11.

That trails solely Texas, who ranks third, amongst present Big 12 groups and behind 5 Southeastern Conference groups, the Sooners’ future house — Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and LSU.

Cayden Green

The 4-star offensive lineman selected the Sooners over LSU, Missouri, Nebraska and Arkansas.

The Missouri native is listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 kilos, including a giant physique to OU coach Bill Bedenbaugh’s offensive line.

Adepoju Adebawore

Adebawore is the kind of large EDGE rusher the Sooners have been on the lookout for.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 240 kilos, the 4-star selected the Sooners over Missouri, Northwestern, Arkansas and Florida State. He’s the Twelfth-ranked EDGE rusher within the class, per 247Sports.

Logan Howland

The 3-star offensive lineman selected the Sooners over Iowa, Miami, Michigan and Boston College.

Listed at 6-foot-7 and 280 kilos, Howland is the Forty fifth-ranked offensive lineman within the class.

Phil Picciotti

Picciotti is a stable 3-star linebacker that selected the Sooners over Auburn, Michigan, Nebraska and Illinois.

The Pennsylvania native is listed at 6-foot-3 and joins Samuel Omosigho as the 2 linebackers within the 2023 class.
