Ortiz Shines at Pan Am Games


SANTIAGO, Chile – University of Houston Swimming & Diving’s Alondra Ortiz took 6th position within the A Final within the 200-meter butterfly on Saturday at the Pan American Games.
 

Ortiz used to be Houston Swimming & Diving’s first of 3 student-athletes to compete at the video games in Santiago, Chile. After taking 2nd in her warmth with a 2:15.50, she certified for the A Final, swimming a 2:15.58 to position 6th general within the 200 butterfly. 
 
Ortiz continues festival on Tuesday with the 400-meter person medley and Oct. 25 with the 200-meter person medley. The program’s different two members, Danielle Titus and Elizabeth Jimenez, start festival on Sunday. Both Titus and Jimenez compete within the 200-meter backstroke on Sunday and the 100-meter backstroke on Monday.
