Oklahoma sex offender sentenced to 40 years in prison for child pornography

A registered sex offender dwelling in Tulsa, Oklahoma was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Thursday after being convicted of transporting child pornography that he produced.

Matthew Alan McNair, 41, in accordance to an announcement from the U.S. Department of Justice, was discovered responsible of taking sexually specific images of an 18-month-old child utilizing a mobile phone in the summer season of 2017, in Indiana.

That summer season, the assertion famous, McNair took sexually specific images of the toddler on three completely different dates.

After taking the images, McNair went again to Oklahoma, the place he was dwelling on the time, and uploaded them to his cloud account.

He was a registered sex offender on the time of the offense. In reality, McNair was convicted of tried prison sexual assault in Illinois in 1999, which required him to register as a sex offender.

According to the Illinois State Police web site, McNair was 18 on the time of the offense and the sufferer was 12 years outdated.

A nationwide initiative known as Project Safe Childhood, which goals to fight child sexual exploitation and abuse was launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. The case in opposition to McNair was introduced ahead by Project Safe Childhood.
