OKC Zoo, Regional Food Bank hosting food drive | News

The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is partnering with Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to assist finish starvation and help native food pantries by encouraging food donations.

Guests who donate a can or field of non-expired and non-perishable food to the zoo now via Nov. 20 will obtain half off basic admission on date of the go to. There will probably be one low cost per particular person per food merchandise donated.

The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to five p.m. every day, with final admission no later than 4.

Oklahoma is the fifth hungriest state within the nation. The Regional Food Bank works with greater than 300 community-based associate businesses in 53 counties in Oklahoma to ensure households have the food they should thrive. These businesses embody public-access food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens and direct service businesses.
