Authorities from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office stated Thursday night time they these days wouldn’t have enough evidence to make an arrest in the loss of life of a Jewish protester in Southern California.
Paul Kessler, 69, died early Monday morning from blunt-force head trauma following a Sunday war of words with a counterprotester in Thousand Oaks, California, consistent with government. His loss of life was once dominated a murder through the clinical examiner.

Homicide means Kessler’s death was caused at the hands of another but “does no longer supply enough evidence to ascertain possible reason for an instantaneous arrest of a suspect,” the sheriff’s office said in a release.
Investigators have photos and videos from before and after the incident, in which Kessler fell backward and hit his head, authorities said. However, the sheriff’s office said it does not have any footage of the actual incident taking place, “which might be extraordinarily useful in this situation and would no doubt display or may just even refute prison culpability,” the discharge learn.
Eyewitness statements from the ones provide when the altercation came about war with one every other, the sheriff’s division stated, making it tricky for the government to end up the suspect’s guilt past a cheap doubt.

Multiple folks referred to as 911 to document an incident of battery on Sunday afternoon, together with the individual government have referred to as the suspect in the incident — a 50-year-old Moorpark resident who was once attending the pro-Palestinian demonstration — Ventura County Sheriff Jim Fryhoff stated Tuesday.
Fryhoff stated the suspect remained on the scene and was once interviewed.
“Our investigators are working around the clock to track down leads, scrutinize electronic data, and corroborate witness statements,” the sheriff’s place of job stated.
