CEDAR HILL, Texas — A scholar at Highlands Elementary in Cedar Hill died after choking on a bit of food at lunch, in response to a letter despatched from the Cedar Hill ISD superintendent to folks.
Cedar Hill ISD confirmed to WFAA a scholar died at the hospital on Friday after being transported from the school.
In the letter, Dr. Gerald Hudson stated campus workers members “responded immediately and called Emergency Medical Services for assistance.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of the scholar, her family, friends, teachers, and all who knew her,” Hudson stated.
Cedar Hill ISD despatched WFAA the next assertion on behalf of the superintendent:
“Cedar Hill ISD has skilled an unimaginable tragedy at the moment with the passing of one in all our elementary students. The CHISD neighborhood is grieving with the household, classmates, and mates of the kid. Grief counselors have been on hand at the moment and can be there Monday to help the campus. This is a troublesome time for everybody, however I do know our Longhorn household will lean on one another as we keep in mind our fellow scholar and her household.”
