QUOTABLE
Head Coach Ryan McGuyre
“Always great to get a win. Everyone in our conference is so, so, so good. That’s an extremely well-coached team, a 14-win team on the season. To be one of their few losses is good. Again, a lot of credit to Tech for fighting with us. They were missing a setter, I don’t know why, so for a few of their rows they were doing some unique things that we definitely didn’t practice against. But, it took us a while to figure those things out and be good. That final set, I thought we started out strong with some great serves, some good blocks. Mallory had a quiet night of hitting .500, 13 kills. Kara’s still blocking for us well. Thought we probably should have defended the blocks better tonight. But, scrapped by to win a fun, tight third set. Sometimes you got to win ugly. Third set was a little ugly, and then we looked cleaner to finish.”
