SECAUCUS, N.J. — A New Jersey mayor says buses of migrants bound for New York City were preventing at the train station in his the city and others in an obvious effort to evade an govt order through New York’s mayor seeking to control how and when migrants can also be dropped off within the town.
Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli stated Sunday that Secaucus police and the city officers have been instructed through Hudson County officers in regards to the arrival of buses at the train station in Secaucus Junction starting Saturday. He stated 4 buses had been believed to have arrived and dropped off migrants who then took trains into New York City.
Gonnelli stated the manager order signed just lately through Mayor Eric Adams of New York calls for bus operators to supply at least 32 hours’ advance realize of arrivals and to restrict the hours of drop-off instances.

Adams last week joined mayors of Chicago and Denver to renew pleas for more federal help and coordination with Texas over the growing number of asylum-seekers arriving in their cities by bus and plane.
“We cannot allow buses with people needing our help to arrive without warning at any hour of day and night,” Adams said at a virtual news conference Wednesday with the other mayors. “This not only prevents us from providing assistance in an orderly way, it puts those who have already suffered” such a lot in peril.
