New York officer fatally shoots man in fencing mask who charged police with 2 swords

ELWOOD, N.Y. — A police officer fatally shot a man who charged at government with two swords on Long Island, New York, and the police commissioner stated Wednesday that the taking pictures seemed to be justified.

Alan Weber, 54, was once pronounced lifeless at a health facility after Tuesday evening’s taking pictures in Elwood.

Police replied to a 911 name reporting a man performing violently within a house. Weber was once screaming and breaking pieces when officials arrived and refused to return outdoor, police stated in a commentary.

The Suffolk County officials entered and Weber faced them with the swords whilst dressed in a fencing mask, Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison stated, including that Weber didn’t obey instructions to drop the swords and an officer shot a stun gun at him however it had no impact.

Weber then charged, and one officer fired a number of pictures, Harrison stated. The officer’s identify was once now not launched.
