As California faculty college students put together to return to campus for the spring semester, the California Department of Public Health is connecting universities with the life-saving opioid overdose medicine, Naloxone.
Following the passage of Senate Bill 367, also called the Campus Opioid Safety Act, CDPH will quickly work with public schools to forestall opioid-related overdoses on college campuses by offering Naloxone and educating younger folks on its makes use of.
The division will probably be required to present instructional information on opioid overdose throughout scholar orientations in any respect campuses within the California State University and California Community Colleges programs.

Universities can order Naloxone doses free of cost through the Department of Health Care Services’ Naloxone Distribution Project thanks to federal and state funding.
