Neighbors excited for new housing plans in south St. Pete


ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Nearly 60 new reasonably priced housing items are in the works for south St. Pete.

The City of St. Pete put out a name for builders to carry two tasks alongside 18th Avenue South in St. Pete.

On Monday, Habitat for Humanity Pinellas and West Pasco Counties introduced it was chosen to move up the tasks.

Development is deliberate for two heaps alongside 18th Avenue South. One advanced, Pelican Place Townhomes, will likely be on the twenty first Street intersection.

“Habitat aims to develop 44 units: nine two-bedroom units, nine four-bedroom units and 26 three-bedroom units. The units have one-car garages on the first floor. The homes would range between 1,000 and 1,300 square feet. The total development cost is roughly $13.5 million,” the group mentioned in a press release.
