N.Y. mother found dead in duffel bag was stabbed 58 times, police sources say


A mother of two found dead in a duffel bag left on the facet of a Queens, New York, highway over Easter weekend was stabbed 58 instances in the neck, torso, arm and hand, legislation enforcement sources advised NBC New York.

Officials acquired a name a few suspicious bag with blood on it on the nook of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway in Forest Hills shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, the New York City Police Department mentioned.

Inside they found Orsolya Gaal, 51, “unconscious and unresponsive,” police mentioned. Emergency providers responded and pronounced her dead on the scene. 

A path of blood led detectives to her Juno Street house a few half-mile away, in line with police.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been recognized as of Monday morning, the NYPD mentioned. The investigation is ongoing.

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner will decide the reason for demise. 

Residents on the house, together with a 13-year-old had been questioned by detectives, legislation enforcement sources mentioned Saturday.

The lady’s husband was out of city when her physique was found and was returning to New York after news of her demise, NBC New York reported.

“What a tragedy, just for everybody involved,” neighbor John Blankson said. “You can’t write this off. I think everyone’s trying to figure out what happened. How did this happen? Why did this happen?”
