Mustang, Oklahoma teens push their pedal creations to new heights

MUSTANG, Okla. (KFOR) – They have quite a lot of bikes from which to select: a few dozen frames, rims, and tires saved on the facet of the home.

Matthew Willits and pals would possibly repair up just a few as is.

Matthew constructed his first hybrid bike after seeing a Youtube tutorial video.

Looking up he says, “This bike is ten feet tall after I get the steering wheel on it.”

Zane Swan and another guys noticed him using across the neighborhood and, fairly quickly, they have been constructing too.

“I was dumbfounded,” says Zane recalling the primary time he ever noticed Matthew using down his road. “I didn’t know what to say. I was clueless. I was at a loss for words.”

Slightly chopping, griding, and welding is all it takes.

Matt’s dad had all of the instruments they may want.

He saved drawing up plans they usually all saved constructing.

Willits says, “We draw them up to make sure they’re work. Then we just start making it.”

Tall bikes are their specialty, however Matt’s Bicycle Shop has gotten sort of well-known round city for their wild rides.

“I like to build them,” says Matt, “And I like the smiles they put on peoples’ faces. I really like to make people happy.”
