MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A mom says she remains to be ready for justice, one 12 months after her daughter was murdered in a Downtown Miami high-rise residence.
On May 6, 2021, 26-year-Maame Amuah was discovered shot within the neck in her residence within the Caoba constructing.

Her mom, Jonell Jackson, says she has been ready for news of an arrest for greater than one year.
Jackson says her daughter moved to Miami at first of pandemic. She was an aspiring clothes designer and ran her personal magnificence enterprise.
According to the Miami Police Department report from that night time, the decision got here in round 1:30 am. The report mentions a “witness” and says one individual was detained for questioning.
No one has ever been arrested for the crime.

Jackson says Amuah was about to go to her in New York for Mother’s Day, and she or he had simply bought off the cellphone along with her about an hour earlier than she was killed.

“My son called and he said ‘Mom, the police say Maame was shot last night.’”
Jackson says she desires extra transparency within the investigation.
