Mother of 5-year-old killed in drive-by shooting speaks out

On the evening of July 3, Khamaya’s mom, Kristena Watters, was driving her two children residence from getting ice cream when the shooting occurred.

As Watters was stopped at a cease signal, bullets flew from a silver 4-door 1999 Honda Accord that was dashing by. One bullet entered Watters’ automobile, hanging Khamaya in the face and in addition hitting her son, 8-year-old Khamani Rice.
