“I became a writer because I wanted to create opportunities for myself and I learned all those things in Oklahoma,” he says.

Campbell rounded out his efficiency coaching at The Second City enhance group in Chicago. This is similar comedy coaching college that turned out comedians akin to Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Mike Myers and Chris Farley.

“Even though I tour all over the nation as a comedian, my Oklahoma roots are not only what keep me grounded but other artists in Oklahoma keep bringing me back home,” Campbell says. “It’s always just a thrill and a treat to get back to where everything began.”

Campbell says loves that individuals are speaking in regards to the Super Bowl ad, even when the main target is on Chenoweth.

“I’m not quite famous. Kristin Chenoweth has a Tony, she has an Emmy, so its understandable that she is the big name that you are seeing all over the place, but ya I’m also an Oklahoma native and I’m really proud to be part of this commercial, especially because it’s such a good cause.”

Campbell says the entire ordeal felt like a profession milestone.

“The fact that it is specifically for Oklahoma, I couldn’t be more proud. Not only is this something my friends and family are going to see… but also the fact that we are going to possibly be saving some lives,” he says. “We are changing the stigma around mental health. It’s something we need to talk about and it’s OK to talk about and the fact that that message is getting out and I’m part of it is one of the proudest moments of my performing career.”

So what’s subsequent for Campbell in any case this? He says he’s about to start out touring his latest comedy act “Big Dad Energy” which focuses on his marriage in his 40′s and the dwindling likelihood of him having youngsters.

“I’m kind of realizing now we are letting the clock kind of run out and I’m realizing I’ll probably never be a dad,” he says. “It’s about me coming to grips with that and it’s full of a lot of laughs and a lot of joy.”
