DETROIT — More than 100 handguns have been stolen from a store in southwestern Michigan after the manager was once held at gunpoint out of doors his house and forced to reveal how to flip off the alarm, government stated Tuesday.
All guns except for one have been recovered and two males have been arrested Friday, an afternoon after the brazen heist at Dunham’s Sports, U.S. Attorney Mark Totten stated.
“Just look at the firepower on this table,” Jim Deir, head of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Michigan, advised journalists.
“There’s over $100,000 worth of guns here. … My experience: These were headed to the streets. These were headed for quick sale, quick money,” Deir stated.
The two males, who’re brothers, are accused of focused on a Dunham’s close to Benton Harbor, 100 miles (160.9 kilometers) east of Chicago.
A store manager advised investigators he was once faced Thursday evening, blindfolded and positioned in the rear seat of a automotive, federal agent Mallorie Campbell stated in a court docket submitting.
