Missing Athena Brownfield: Arizona authorities arrest 2nd caregiver in Oklahoma toddler’s disappearance

Authorities in Arizona arrested a second caregiver on Thursday in reference to the Tuesday disappearance of 4-year-old Oklahoma woman Athena Brownfield.

Officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Ivon Adams, considered one of Athena’s two caregivers on the time she disappeared, in Phoenix on a cost of acting as a fugitive from justice.

Authorities initially reported Athena lacking on Tuesday afternoon after a postal provider discovered her 5-year-old sister wandering round alone on Nebraska Avenue in Cyril, Oklahoma, round 2 p.m.
