Misael Sanchez dies after being injured in brawl at soccer game


A person who was injured in a brawl that broke out at a highschool soccer game in Oxnard died Monday, police said.

Police mentioned Misael Sanchez, 29, of Port Hueneme, died greater than two weeks after an on-field battle, involving each gamers and spectators, erupted over a referee’s determination throughout a July 10 game between grownup soccer groups at Oxnard High School, CBS Los Angeles reported. Oxnard is a coastal metropolis about an hour’s drive west of Los Angeles.

Sanchez was a participant. One man was arrested on suspicion of battery, however the investigation is continuous, authorities mentioned.

Police mentioned investigators are “still searching for witnesses or anyone who might have video recorded all or part of the fight.”
