Military aircraft arrives in U.S. with baby formula from Europe amid shortage



WASHINGTON — The first flight of baby formula from Europe arrived at an Indiana Air Force base Sunday because the White House tries to deal with a crippling shortage.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack greeted the arrival of a army aircraft carrying 78,000 kilos of formula flown in from Germany in what the federal government has dubbed Operation Fly Formula. President Joe Biden approved this system to import formula from overseas final week.
