Miami woman claims she cut dog’s neck after dream ‘required her to complete a sacrifice,’ police say



MIAMI – A Miami woman is going through a legal animal cruelty rate after she cut her canine Sparky “several times” within the neck after being instructed to accomplish that in a dream, police stated.

Police arrested Elena Barakova Cowan, 37, of Edgewater, on Friday after a two-month-long investigation into the incident.

According to an arrest document, Barakova Cowan took the canine to a veterinarian for remedy on Nov. 14 and Miami police answered quickly after.

She instructed the officer that, after “she had not had any sleep in approximately four days,” she “had a dream that required for her to complete a sacrifice to the gods to save humanity,” main her to get up, move to her kitchen, take hold of a knife and “cut the dog’s neck several times,” the document states.

The canine suffered no less than two superficial cuts and two extra that had been “deeper and overlapping,” the arrest document states.
