Miami-Dade PD Takes Down 5 In Drug Bust Near Kendall School, Confiscating Duffle Bags, Coolers Full Of Narcotics – CBS Miami


KENDALL (CBSMiami) – Five individuals have been arrested in connection to an enormous haul of narcotics close to a college in Kendall.

Miami-Dade police found 15 duffle baggage and 7 coolers full of a giant assortment of medicine.

Miami-Dade PD confiscated the medicine on April 15, after organising surveillance in a parking zone at 9360 SW 72 Street, proper throughout the road from the constitution college, True North Classical Academy.

According to the police report, the surveillance video exhibits the suspects retrieving duffle baggage and coolers from one other car within the parking zone.

When detectives approached the automobiles, there was a heavy scent of marijuana, states the report. All 5 males have been detained, and their automobiles have been searched.

The report states the duffle baggage and coolers contained marijuana, money and different narcotics.

The suspects, recognized as Andres Roldan, Ruben Lane, Jonathan Giraldo, Junior Alvarez and Justin Abreu, have been charged with promoting or delivering hashish inside 1,000 toes of a college and sale of a managed substance.

Miami-Dade police spokesman Det. Alvaro Zabaleta advised CBS4’s Peter D’Oench, “One of the vehicles pulled up in the parking lot and several individuals were seen talking to each other and at one point they opened their trunks and started moving duffel bags. The duffel bags they had in their possession were full of marijuana, mushrooms and other drug paraphernalia. We put the picture up on social media because it’s important for the public to now there are narcotics transactions that are involved, and tips do help us fight crime.”

Zabaleta then thanked the neighborhood for stepping up with a tip.

“You see how effective it is when the community works together with the police department and all it took was one tip for someone to say something. Obviously, someone was concerned for the community and wanted to do the right thing,” he mentioned.

Lorenzo Walker, a upkeep man on the constructing the place the bust occurred, mentioned he witnessed what occurred.

“I saw about 10 undercover cars and two marked cars. I saw all of the bags on the front of the vehicle. That was an absurd what was going on in this neighborhood and this parking lot. It is unheard of.”

Some neighbors and oldsters of scholars on the constitution college mentioned they applauded the arrests.

One unidentified guardian mentioned, “This school is awesome and I am glad police did what they did in making these arrests.”
