Men caught pushing over federally protected rock formations near Lake Mead, some nearly 140 million years old


LAKE MEAD, Nv. – Two males are coming beneath fireplace when they have been caught on digital camera pushing heavy rocks from a canyon alongside the Redstone Dunes Trail near Lake Mead.

The rock formation is assumed to be no less than 140 million years old and is federally protected.

Authorities say destruction like this can lead to prison fees.
