MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Medics airlifted a person to Jackson South Medical Center following a drive-by capturing at a 7-Eleven in southwest Miami-Dade Monday afternoon, in line with police.
The capturing took place simply ahead of 4 p.m. at the chain’s retailer at 13690 SW 268th St. in the unincorporated Princeton space.
Miami-Dade police stated they replied to the scene after receiving a ShotSpotter notification.
“According to investigators, the victim was the passenger of a vehicle that was stopped at a gas station,” Detective Alvaro Zabaleta, a Miami-Dade Police Department spokesperson, stated in a news free up Monday night. “He exited the gas station after making a purchase and approached the driver of the vehicle. While standing by the driver door, a black 2-door Audi entered the gas station and…unknown subjects began to shoot at the victim.”
Both police and group participants stated the location may have been even worse.
“There were a lot of rounds that were fired here,” Zabaleta stated. “It’s a miracle that nobody else was hurt.”
Meanwhile, suggest Mark Harris stated there “could have been a lot of innocent people that could have got shot here.”
It’s now not transparent if the capturing was once a centered incident or what number of suspects had been in the Audi.
Police requested someone with information to name Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
