Man with gun arrested in park near US Capitol

WASHINGTON – A person with a gun used to be arrested near the U.S. Capitol Tuesday afternoon, police mentioned.

The guy used to be in a park out of doors Senate place of business constructions and throughout from Washington’s Union Station when he used to be arrested, the U.S. Capitol Police mentioned in a remark posted to X, previously referred to as Twitter.

Police searched the world the place he used to be arrested in addition to his assets “out of an abundance of warning.”

Officers said they did not believe there was an “ongoing threat.”
