Man serving life sentence for capital murder killed by cellmate in East Texas prison

TENNESSEE COLONY, Texas (KETK) – A person serving two life sentences for capital murder in an East Texas prison was once murdered by his cellmate, Texas Department of Criminal Justice officers mentioned.

50-year-old Billy Chemirmir was once discovered useless in his cellular on the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony early Tuesday morning.


Chemirmir was once serving two life sentences with out parole for two counts of capital murder out of Dallas County. His cellmate, who TDCJ mentioned is serving a sentence for a Dallas County murder, was once recognized because the suspect in the crime.

Chemirmir was once accused of looking for out sufferers in unbiased residing communities for older other people in the Dallas space and was once charged with killing 22 elderly women over a two-year span and stealing their valuables.

“This is a conscious, dedicated effort to stalk, surveil, kill, steal, strip and sell,” Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot mentioned in final arguments at Chemirmir’s final trial.

Creuzot made up our minds in opposition to looking for the demise penalty, pronouncing that the 2 life sentences intended Chemirmir would “die in a penitentiary.”
