MIAMI – A 20-year-old guy was arrested Friday after Miami police stated he molested a 12-year-old girl who was walking to an area smoothie shop.
The alleged incident was reported in a while after 2:30 p.m. within the space of North Miami Avenue and Northwest twenty fourth Street.
According to the suspect’s arrest file, the sufferer and a witness have been walking towards Bubba Tea and Smoothies after faculty.
As they have been walking south on North Miami Avenue, Elijah Jean-Gilles, who is homeless, was walking north towards them, government stated.
Police stated the girl claimed that Jean-Gilles pretended to be choosing one thing up off the bottom when he all at once grabbed her vagina over her clothes.
Police stated the sufferer instructed detectives that she changed into “frantic,” slapped his hand off her and he or she and the witness each ran to the smoothie shop the place she referred to as her mom.
According to the file, the witness corroborated the sufferer’s observation to police.
Jean-Gilles was arrested hours later and declined to discuss with police, the file said.
He faces a rate of lewd and lascivious molestation on a kid.
