‘Lookout’ in Miami-Dade banquet hall shooting to be sentenced


MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A Miami Gardens guy who confessed to being a lookout sooner than the 2021 El Mula mass shooting that left 3 other folks useless and 20 injured is scheduled to be sentenced Friday.

In September, jurors discovered Davonte Barnes, referred to as “Dey Dey,” to blame of 3 counts of second-degree homicide and 20 counts of tried second-degree homicide, and no longer to blame of conspiracy to dedicate first-degree homicide with a perilous weapon.

He faces the potential for existence in jail with out parole.

Barnes, 24, confessed to being a lookout whilst riding his mom’s automobile simply sooner than shooters killed Shaniqua PetersonDesmond Owens, and Clayton Dillard III, and injured 20 at about 12:30 a.m. on May 30, 2021, on the El Mula banquet hall at 7630 NW 186th St.

He instructed detectives a long-standing feud between two teams in Miami Gardens and Opa-locka, and the teams’ rappers Alan “Savage” Chambers and Antonio “Foe Pack” Jones, had been to blame for the shooting.

Chambers centered Jones, who was once injured and survived, police stated.

Barnes’ sentencing listening to is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
