Lincoln County Sheriff says father shot, killed by son

LINCOLN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – A lethal taking pictures investigation is underway in Lincoln County after a father was shot and killed by his 15-year-old son Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at a house close to State Highway 99 and East 900 Road, south of Stroud. 


According to the Lincoln County Sheriff, Charlie Dougherty, the 15-year-old known as 911 round 1:15 p.m. Tuesday confessing he’d shot his dad.

“They got into some type of an argument,” mentioned Sheriff Dougherty. “Said that his dad had a knife and had him cornered and he had to shoot him.” 

The teen fired two gunshots, based on the sheriff.
