The annual Light the Night stroll is occurring this Saturday.
Hemisfair Park shall be illuminated with colourful lanterns as other folks rally in combination for analysis, advocacy, and reinforce for blood most cancers sufferers.

Maguire is a senior at Ronald Reagan High School. He’s on their armed drill staff for the JROTC program.
“I love going out there and doing what I love and getting better, seeing myself get better every day,” Maguire stated.
The drill staff circle of relatives and his organic circle of relatives were via his facet thru all of it, together with his adventure with leukemia.
“It has its toll. You know, I was 12 years old at the time,” Maguire stated. “It was four years of chemo.”

Maguire’s scientific groups at Methodist Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Cancer and Blood Clinic helped get him to the place he’s now, which is over a 12 months into remission.
“I never thought I was going to die. I was just like, like I can do this, I can get through this,” Maguire stated.
This 12 months, Maguire and his mother Karen shall be sharing his tale at the annual Light the Night match at Hemisfair Park on Saturday.
He’ll be maintaining up his white lantern, proudly appearing that he’s a survivor.
“To me, it means someone that stuck it through and they, you know they went down and just went right back up. They fell down. And they dusted themselves off and started all over again,” Maguire stated.
