Lauderhill Peace365 aims to reduce crime



LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill has felt the ache of gun violence in recent times, so officers have been getting ready to release Lauderhill Peace365 on Monday.

It’s up prime at the schedule for Lauderhill’s Deputy Chief of Police Allen Siegel and Fire Chief Robert Torres who will meet with officers to announce the initiative at 4 p.m., on Monday, at City Hall.

In a commentary, City Manager Desorae Giles-Smith described the initiative as a “comprehensive approach” to reduce crime since gun-related homicides are up by means of 44%.

“The Lauderhill Peace365 is set to further this progress, encouraging a unified effort towards peace,” Giles-Smith mentioned.

According to town officers, the initiative encourages “daily acts of kindness and peaceful conflict resolution” via peace walks, workshops, and boards. The consciousness marketing campaign will advertise a peace pledge with signage, media advocacy, and public carrier bulletins.
