LAFC sign Stipe Biuk from Croatian side Hajduk Split


LAFC have signed ahead Stipe Biuk from Croatian top-flight side Hajduk Split on a four-year deal by the 2026 Major League Soccer season, with an extra membership choice for 2027. 

He joins as a U22 Initiative participant and can occupy a world roster spot for the Black & Gold.

“Stipe is an incredibly talented player with considerable experience for his age who is recognized as one of the top young players in Europe,” LAFC co-president & common supervisor John Thorrington stated in a launch. 

“It is exciting to welcome a player of his quality, pedigree and potential to LAFC, and we are confident he will excite our fans and contribute to our team’s success in the years to come.”

Biuk departs Hajduk Split after recording six objectives and eight assists in 66 matches throughout all competitions, and serving to the staff to elevate the 2021-22 Croatian Football Cup.

The younger participant now stands as an choice for head coach Steve Cherundolo, alongside incumbent starters Carlos Vela and Denis Bouanga, in addition to Gareth Bale and Kwadwo Opoku. 

LAFC will enter the 2023 marketing campaign, and Cherundolo’s second season in cost, because the reigning MLS Cup and Supporters’ Shield champions. The staff kicks off the brand new season on February 25 towards the LA Galaxy on the Rose Bowl.
