K-State Shines in Singles Matches on First Day of Big 12

The Kansas State girls’s tennis crew competed in doubles and singles matches on Friday (Nov. 4), the primary day of the Big 12 Fall Invite.
 
In the morning with the doubles matches spherical of 16, sophomore Florentine Dekkers and freshman Vanesa Suarez had been defeated by host Oklahoma State’s Ayumi Miyamoto and Kristina Novak, 6-3
 
Senior Rosanna Maffei and freshman Rozalia Gruszczynska dropped their set 6-0 to Iowa State’s Miska Kadleckova and Sofia Cabezas.
 
Both groups had been moved to the comfort bracket quarterfinals the place Dekkers and Suarez confronted Kansas’ Silvia Maria Costache and Malkia Ngounoue being defeated 6-2.
 
Maffei and Gruszczynska competed towards the Cowboys’ Amber Hochstatter and Sofia Rojas had been defeated 6-4.

Saturday (Nov. 5) three singles matches will begin at 11 a.m. CT, Dekkers going through Iowa State’s Thasaporn Naklo in the principle draw quarterfinals, additionally in the quarterfinals Gruszczynska will compete towards Oklahoma State’s Aymui Mayamoto, and in the comfort bracket Maffei will see Ting-Pei Chang of West Virginia. Also in the principle draw Suarez will battle towards West Virginia’s Pei Ju Hsieh at 2 p.m. CT.
