Judge Strikes Down California Law Mandating Women on Boards


A state decide struck down a California regulation requiring corporations within the state put feminine administrators on their boards, the second authorized setback in as many months for efforts to mandate board variety.

Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis of the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles dominated that the 2018 regulation was unconstitutional as a result of it violated the equal safety clause of the state’s structure, in line with a replica of the decision.
