FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers introduced on his Instagram Stories Thursday night time that he had surgery to repair his torn left Achilles tendon on Wednesday.

The post features a image of a smiling Rodgers in a blue clinical cap and robe in a clinic mattress along with his left foot obviously bruised.

Rodgers mentioned the surgery used to be carried out through Dr. Neal ElAttrache, an orthopedic surgeon based totally in Los Angeles who has labored with a lot of skilled athletes throughout his profession.

“Surgery went great yesterday,” Rodgers wrote. “Thank you for all the love and prayers and support. And thanks to the (goat emoji) Dr ElAtrrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery.”

Rodgers is out for the season after tearing his Achilles tendon at the fourth snap of his debut along with his new group Monday night time, a 22-16 extra time victory over Buffalo.

The 39-year-old quarterback posted Wednesday on Instagram in his first public feedback that he used to be “completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions” after the damage. He added: “The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again.”

Rodgers may be dealing with an extended, hard restoration and rehabilitation from the damage. But his post Wednesday seemed to point out he may not be in a position to name it a profession.

Jets trainer Robert Saleh mentioned Wednesday that Rodgers used to be going for some clinical consultations to resolve his subsequent step. It grew to become out the four-time MVP had surgery later that day.
