Jets expected to move on from former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson this offseason, per report

The New York Jets have an issue at quarterback. Former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson has not proven the type of progress expected from a second-year signal-caller, and was benched for the second time in a month throughout New York’s embarrassing 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night time. According to a brand new report, the Jets have seen sufficient from Wilson in 22 video games to decide about his future.

Per Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Jets are expected to move on from Wilson this offseason. It’s no secret that the younger quarterback has struggled with confidence, and Glazer now stories that the Jets have misplaced all of their confidence in Wilson.

Wilson has began the previous two video games due to Mike White’s rib damage, however Chris Streveler being the third quarterback on the Jets roster to look higher than Wilson apparently spoke volumes to the franchise.
