NEW YORK (AP) — Howard University, PEN America and Scholastic Book Clubs are among the many newest recipients of donations from James Patterson, the bestselling creator who has given over $100 million to literary and literacy applications.
On Tuesday, Patterson introduced $5.3 million in money awards. They embrace $2 million to PEN to help the group’s battle without spending a dime expression worldwide; $2 million to Scholastic for the classroom venture “The United States of Readers” and $1.3 million complete to Howard University for 12 James Patterson Writer Education Scholarships, price $10,000 every for the present educational 12 months, and to the Iowa Writers’ Workshop for 14 fellowships, given to 11 fiction writers and three poets.
