On October 5, Sam Amick of The Athletic reported that L.A.’s be offering for Harden was once, and in all probability nonetheless is, an unprotected first-round select, a select switch, and salaries (believed to be Marcus Morris and Robert Covington) in July, however “Philadelphia has set a much higher threshold” through searching for a couple of first-round choices and Mann.

Amick additionally reported that the Clippers are buying groceries their 2028 first-round select across the league to see if they may be able to get a couple of choices again, hoping to juice their Harden be offering. Still, if Morey needs Mann plus a couple of choices, any individual could have to give in, or Harden is not going anyplace.

For now, it seems that to be the latter. Which begs the query: Will Harden in fact swimsuit up and play for the Sixers on opening night time subsequent Thursday towards the Bucks? He hasn’t essentially been the distraction that he reportedly deliberate to be all the way through the preseason, no less than now not too publicly, however that is most commonly as a result of he simply hasn’t taken section.
