‘It could be your child’


POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A distraught April Lofton spoke to Local 10 News Friday morning, lower than 24 hours after her 10-year-old son, Noah West, used to be wounded in a taking pictures in Pompano Beach.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, it came about at round 6:35 Thursday night time, close to the 1700 block of Northwest Fourth Street.

“He doesn’t want the person to come after him,” Lofton stated thru tears.

Lofton stated Noah used to be merely heading house after taking part in at Hunters Park when gunshots rang out.

“BSO came to my home and they knocked on the door and then they told me that my son had been shot,” she stated.

Noah, thankfully, survived and used to be solid within the sanatorium as of Friday morning. Lofton described what came about.

“He went out to the park to play and he was out there and he said that this gentleman who had on a ski mask that was on (a) scooter started shooting at another vehicle and he kind of got caught in the crossfire,” she stated. “He basically had a couple of buckshot wounds to the thigh and one in the buttock area.”

Lofton stated Noah is the youngest of her 5 kids.

“He’s super smart. So he was able to give (a) detailed description of what the person was, who the person was shooting at,” she stated.

Lofton is now pleading with participants of the general public to come back ahead.

“It could be your child,” she stated.
