IPL 2023: Punjab Kings reappoint Wasim Jaffer as batting coach



Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has been re-appointed as Punjab Kings (PBKS) batting coach for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The 44-year-old had beforehand stepped down from his job forward of the IPL 2022 mega-auction in February this 12 months.

Jaffer first joined the Mohali-based franchise again in 2019 and labored with them for 3 seasons.

PBKS have additionally appointed Charl Langeveldt as their new quick bowling coach, whereas Brad Haddin is available in as assistant coach.

In September, PBKS signed Trevor Bayliss as their new head coach instead of Anil Kumble. Earlier this month, Shikhar Dhawan was appointed as the brand new captain by the franchise. In the 2023 IPL version, Dhawan will change Mayank Agarwal who was launched by the franchise on Tuesday over the last day of the IPL 2023 participant retentions.

PBKS retained 16 gamers and now have INR 32.2 crore remaining of their purse for the mini-auction, which is scheduled to be held on December 23 in Kochi.
