I-20 crash: 1 killed along Parker, Palo Pinto County line



DPS stated a driver of one of many 18 wheelers was killed.

PARKER COUNTY, Texas — One particular person has died from a crash on Dec. 9 along Interstate 20 close to the Parker County and Palo Pinto County line, Texas DPS stated.

DPS informed WFAA that deputies responded to the crash, which occurred at roughly 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 9, involving 4 18-wheelers and one passenger automobile.

According to DPS, a 2004 Freightliner 18-wheeler slowed down resulting from visitors situations that had resulted from a earlier crash within the space. 

The first crash was a two-vehicle crash that occurred at roughly 2 p.m. on Interstate 20 roughly three miles south of Santo. A Volvo truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer hit a Vantool constitution passenger bus, DPS stated. Thirty-two passengers from Gunter ISD have been touring to a playoff sport in Abilene. None of these passengers have been injured. The driver of the passenger bus was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with undisclosed accidents.

The second, deadly crash occurred when a passenger car and a second 18-wheeler slowed down behind the Freightliner and have been struck by a 3rd 18-wheeler. This brought about a domino of crashes between the second 18-wheeler, the passenger car and the Freightliner. A fourth 18-wheeler additionally struck a number of the autos concerned, DPS stated. 

All autos however the Freightliner caught fireplace and burned. The driver of the third 18-wheeler died on the scene, in keeping with DPS. 

The driver of the second 18-wheeler was transported to Weatherford Region Hospital. The driver of the passenger car and a 36-year-old passenger within the car have been transported to a Fort Worth space hospital. Their situations have been unknown as of Saturday, DPS stated.
