Houston news: Prego in Rice Village moving locations


HOUSTON — Prego, a staple Italian eating place in the Rice Village group, is packing up its plates of pasta and cheeses and heading to a brand new location.

The new location is best 100 yards away from its current address.  It’ll be opening at 5515 Kelvin Drive in the Summer of 2024.

Prego is moving locations as a result of Rice University owns the land the place the Italian favourite recently sits and plans to expand the development for college wishes. Prego house owners did not wish to cross a long way after serving in Rice Village for 40 years. 

“It was hard to imagine relocating to anywhere else in Houston. We are pleased we were able to work with the university and we won’t be going far,” said Prego’s General Manager and Operating Partner, David Cook. “Our roots listed here are deep and that is the place our shoppers search for us to be.” 

Prego will keep open in the course of the vacations and into the brand new yr earlier than relocating to Kelvin Drive.
